What I do
I create collaborations to integrate experience, skills and commitment, for a better preventive care model, better research and better learning
Research
Clinical Research
Work with clinicians to design studies, develop study protocols, analyze and interpret the data
Focus on Implementation
Research is meant to improve practice. Create innovative programs. Focus on real clinical question
We're all tired of research waste.
It is not easy to escape the system of perverse incentives.
Together, we can choose meaningful research
Practice
Behavior Change Office
Applying motivational interviewing, Positive Psychology to help people adopt healthy behaviors.
Apply the evidence
Patient-centered support and coaching for evidence-based lifestyle medicine.
Standard preventive care is typically suboptimal because it neglects one of the major drivers, the science of behavior change.
I'm offering the missing link.
Teaching
Research Fitness for FITs

Work with Fellows in Training, residents and other learners, to support their career as clinical researchers
Optimize Learning
"Schools kill creativity', Sir Ken Robinson said.
Why not change that?
Most Medical Schools do not equip learners with skills versatile enough to interpret the ever evolving medical papers. Nor with skills to conduct sound research.
I provide a better, more efficient, more intellectually stimulating approach
I am partnering with a select group of clinicians who:

- recognize the complexity of behavior change
- lack the time or resources to provide sustained, intensive behavior change support
- understand that behavioral coaching is distinct from mental health services
- are increasingly concerned about the misinformation influencing their patients
- value the cost-effectiveness of specialized behavior support as part of a comprehensive management plan
I provide team-based Behavioral Change Support,
grounded in motivational interviewing and positive psychology, and
aligned with evidence-based lifestyle medicine principles.

I serve as first-line support for individuals initiating or undergoing behavioral change. I collaborate closely with clinicians and refer to RDs or mental health professionals, when appropriate. I design structured, evidence-based lifestyle programs and support patients in adopting and sustaining healthy behaviors. If the patient already has a lifestyle management plan developed by you, other clinicians, RD, ET, I work directly with the patient to reinforce and support that specific plan. I do not adjust pharmacological treatments. My role is to enhance patient's adherence to both prescribed medical therapies and lifestyle interventions.
